Delivering Specialized and Compassionate Pediatric Dentistry

Ensuring your child’s optimal oral health requires selecting the right pediatric dentist who can provide specialized care customized to their unique requirements. Unlike many family dentists who typically start treating children at around five or six years old, we understand that early intervention can be crucial in minimizing potential dental issues.

Early Dental Care

Normally the first tooth erupts between ages 6 to 12 months. Gums are sore, tender and sometimes irritable until the age of 3. Rubbing sore gums gently with a clean finger, the back of a cold spoon or a cold, wet cloth helps soothe the gums. Teething rings work well, but avoid teething biscuits – they contain sugar that is not good for baby teeth.

Sedation dentistry

Sedation dentistry refers to the use of sedation during dental treatment. Sedation is most commonly used during extensive procedures, for patients who are young, immature or who find it difficult to sit still. There are different types of sedation, including nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”), IV sedation, oral sedatives and general anesthetic.

Sleep Apnea

The number of children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has been steadily increasing over the past decade. Yet according to a recent study, many children diagnosed with this condition don’t really have it; their behavioral problems are actually related to sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBD), such as sleep apnea.

Overall Rating

- J W

"Brought both my kids here for check up and cleanings and it was fantastic! We saw Dr. B, he was very thorough and the kids thought he was funny. We had Cynthia as our assistant and she was great! Office is very clean, and new! It’s very modern and I love the way it’s decorated. I’ll continue to bring my kiddos here!"

- Micah C

"Friendly and honest. I can't say that about many pediatrics these days. My kids feel comfortable there, that's a plus."
