It’s the most important meal of the day but often time’s breakfast is filled with sugary, teeth rotting milk and cereal. Skip the Captain Crunch and try some of these healthy breakfast recipes for kids.

Granola

Granola for Kids
Homemade granola is a quick simple breakfast that the whole family can enjoy when mornings are too hectic to whip something up. It’s delicious when served over milk and unsweetened yogurt with berries and raisins. Avoid the store bought stuff because it is often packed with sugar.

Cream Cheese Egg Bagels

Scrambled eggs are arguably the easiest way to prepare eggs. Mix in some low fat cream cheese before the whipped eggs hit the pan and serve on a toasted bagel for a delicious hot, breakfast for the whole family.

Smoothie Time

Who says you can’t drink your breakfast? Pack your smoothies with antioxidants and vitamin c for an early morning boost. If you are the type of person who always has orange juice on hand this is perfect for your mornings.

Maple Bran Waffles

Waffles are usually viewed as a heavy fattening breakfast food, but these maple bran waffles are low calorie but still pack a sweet punch. Your kids won’t even know they are eating healthy!

Prosciutto and Egg Panini

Three simple ingredients make this delicious breakfast. Throw scrambled eggs, prosciutto and cheese between two slices of your favorite bread and throw them in a Panini press. Don’t have a Panini press? Heat a cast iron skillet on medium high for 5 minutes and use that to press down on top of your sandwich.
