The summer heat is finally behind us and it’s time to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! This is also the time of year that several fun events are taking place across the Valley. If the Arizona State Fair is a bit too crowded or too far away for your taste, you can still get your fill of family fun and activities right here in Gilbert. This year, for the weekend of October 8th, the Gilbert Fall Carnival is up and running once again, presented by Saint Xavier University and the Town of Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department. Here’s some more information on the event.
Rides will include the Ferris Wheel, the Tilt-a-Whirl, Berry-Go-Round and several more. The great part about the Gilbert Fall Carnival is that admission is free for everyone, although you’ll want to bring some cash for rides, carnival games and the amazing fair food that no one can resist. Wristbands for the event can be purchased at the Carnival, or you can buy them in advance online at gilbertaz.gov starting October 1st.
Everyone is welcome at the Gilbert Fall Carnival, but children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. The event is for four days this year, and the hours are as follows:
- Thursday, October 8th- 5pm-9pm
- Friday, October 9th- 5pm-10pm
- Saturday, October 10th- Noon-10pm
- Sunday, October 11th- Noon-8pm
Once again, the event takes place at the beautiful Crossroads Park right here in Gilbert, located at 2155 E. Knox Road. For directions and preorders for wristbands, go to gilbertaz.gov.
